
2025 Duke True Spotlight: Brooke Borzymowski

Duke field hockey head coach Pam Bustin and the program are excited to welcome the addition of a pair of graduate student transfers in Brooke Borzymowski and Ava Cickavage to the 2025 Blue Devils roster.
Arriving in Durham after strong careers at Syracuse and Rutgers, respectively, Borzymowski and Cickavage will provide incredible depth and experience to Duke in 2025. Let's get to know a little more about Brooke.

Learning More About Brooke
A three-year starter in goal for Syracuse, Brooke played in 54 games and nearly 3,000 minutes for the Orange from 2021-23. In three seasons in Syracuse, the Fallston, Maryland native collected 159 saves and 12 shutouts. She finished her career with a 1.54 goals against average and a .674 save percentage.
Brooke earned her first career start for the Orange as a freshman in 2021. After seeing time off the bench in the first two games, she earned the starting nod in the third contest and never looked back. In her 17 starting assignments she made 54 saves and allowed 20 goals for a 1.17 goals against average.
In year two, Brooke stayed on the same course, starting all 22 games and playing a total of 1,233 minutes. She finished her sophomore season with a 16-6 overall record, amassing 77 saves and helping the Orange to eight shutouts. As a junior, the veteran backstop started 13 games before being sidelined by an injury.
