2026 Duke True Spotlight: Adriana Ensani

Duke field hockey head coach Pam Bustin and the program are excited to welcome a talented group of newcomers to the Blue Devil program in 2026. The Blue Devils are set to highlight each of the newest Duke True members over the next two weeks. First up is Adriana Ensani, a midfielder from Pittsboro, North Carolina.
Headed to Durham by way of North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas and The Netherlands, this group features a unique set of talents and field hockey experiences. While varying in position, one thing is certain - Duke field hockey got better on and off the turf with the addition of this outstanding young cohort.

Learning More About Adriana
A four-year letterwinner under Carlos Yadiel at Cardinal Gibbons High School and ranked in the top 50 of the Max Field Hockey Class of 2026 rankings, Adriana helped lead the Crusaders to three consecutive NCFHA state championships (2023, 2024, 2025) after finishing as the runner-up in 2022. A three-time Max Field Hockey Mid-Atlantic All-Region selection, Adriana earned first-team all-conference honors in all four of her seasons and was a two-time all-state pick. She capped her high school career with 2025 NCFHA East Conference Player of the Year honors after being tabbed the 2024 NCFHA East Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Year.
Adriana has also built a strong résumé with USA Field Hockey, earning a spot on the 2026 USAFH U-18 National Team after being selected for the USAFH U-18 National Team Camp in both 2024 and 2025. She competed at the NEXUS Championships with USAFH from 2021-2025. At the club level with Bull City Field Hockey, she helped the program to a second-place finish at the 2025 USAFH National Club Championships and has won gold medals with the U-16 Bull City squad at both the 2024 and 2022 NIT Championships. She has also represented Bull City on its Legacy teams.
Off the field, Adriana was a member of the National Honor Society and Honor Roll, and has been recognized on the NFHCA National Academic Squad.
