George McAfee, a native of Ironton, Ohio, also played for Wade before becoming one of the most feared runners in the NFL with the Chicago Bears. George Halas, long-time coach and owner of the Bears, still ranks him in the backfield of his all-time Bear team.

Both McAfee and Parker were selected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
