Kelly Walbert Cagle, a native of Tucson, Ariz., garnered All-America accolades three times – including twice as a first team choice – while helping the Blue Devils to a four-year ledger of 60-23-7 with one ACC regular season championship and four NCAA Tournament berths from 1992-95. A three-time all-league and three-time all-region selection, she was the ACC Player of the Year as a senior in 1995 and later earned a spot on the ACC's 50th Anniversary Team. Cagle, who started a school record 90 consecutive games in her career, continues to hold Duke records for goals in a season (18 in 1994), game-winning goals in a season (9 in 1994), goals in a career (47), game-winning goals in a career (20) and total points in a career (117). Following graduation, Cagle played professionally in the WUSA before embarking on a college coaching career that included stints at Texas (1996; Assistant Coach), Wake Forest (1997-01; Assistant Coach) and Virginia Tech (2003-10; Head Coach [76-70-15 record]).
