DURHAM, N.C. ? Winners of its last three Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) matches, the sixth-ranked Duke women's soccer team will host Maryland on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Koskinen Stadium. The contest is one of only two home matches remaining for the Blue Devils in 2005.
The Blue Devils Sunday's action with a 10-2-1 overall, 4-2 ACC mark, while Maryland is 4-8-2, 2-3-1. Since knocking off undefeated and No. 1 ranked North Carolina on Sunday, Duke jumped to sixth in the NSCAA, eighth in the Soccer America, eighth in the Soccer Buzz and eighth in the SoccerTimes.com polls. Maryland is not ranked nationally.
In the series with Maryland, Duke owns an 11-10-2 lead, but Maryland defeated the Blue Devils, 1-0 in overtime last year in College Park. The Terrapins have won three out of the last four matches against Duke with the lone victory coming in 2003 in Durham as the Blue Devils won 1-0 over 19th-ranked Maryland.
Since opening ACC play with a 1-2 record and scoring only two goals during the stretch, the Blue Devils have come back to score six goals over the last three contests and are now 4-2 in league play, which is tied for third along with Florida State. Duke has not won more than five league matches since the 1997 campaign when the Blue Devils finished with a 6-1 mark. Last season, Duke posted a 5-4 ACC mark.
Duke junior Rebecca Moros continued her stellar play on Wednesday against 12th-ranked Wake Forest scoring her third goal over the last two matches and she now leads the Blue Devils with four goals and 10 points. Overall, the Duke defense has registered eight shutouts on the season led by sophomore goalkeeper Allison Lipsher.

? Duke has outscored its opponents, 21-5, in the 13 matches this season.
? The Blue Devils have outshot their opponents 206-83.
? Three Duke freshmen have started at least one game this season-- Kelly McCann, Christie McDonald and Kelly Hathorn.
? Junior Lauren Tippets leads the Blue Devils with five assists on the year.
? Sophomore goalkeeper Allison Lipsher has registered seven shutouts and a 0.39 goals against average this season. Through games of Oct. 9, Lipsher ranked eighth in the nation with a 0.419 goals against average. In two years at Duke, Lipsher has totaled 15 shutouts.
? Freshman Kelly McCann made her first career start on the defensive end at UNC and also played up front late in the second half.
?Duke was the first team this season to score two goals against North Carolina on Oct. 9. Rebecca Moros was the second Duke player in as many years to register two goals against the Tar Heels. Carolyn Riggs scored two goals against UNC in the ACC Tournament last year.
