Blue/White Meet Leaves Coaches Feeling Good

DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke swimming and diving team held its annual Blue/White meet on Friday, October 8, at 5:30 p.m. in the Taishoff Aquatic Pavilion. The Blue team edged out the White team lead by captains Katie Magee and Spencer Booth.

Standouts in the meet included sophomore Ben Hwang, who posted a 20.56 in the 50 freestyle, a time that was better than his in-season best last year. Senior Ashley Twichell also posted three wins in the meet, while junior Hunter Roux posted two wins.

But the true test of the evening was freshman performances. Both Christine Wixted and Lauren Weaver posted multiple wins in their first collegiate races.

The Blue Devils officially open their season next week when they travel to Wilmington, N.C. to face the No. 1 ranked Colonial Athletic Association Seahawks at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 16.
