Women's Golf• Freshman
Leona Maguire placed tied for fifth at the Annika Intercollegiate, marking her second straight top five placement to open her collegiate career. She carded a 54-hole total of 208 for the second consecutive tournament as well, which is the second-best three-day score by a Duke freshman in school history. She became just the third Blue Devil to finish in the top five in her first two college tournaments – Amanda Blumenherst (2005-06) and Beth Bauer (1998-99).
Men's Tennis •
Nicolas Alvarez became the first Blue Devil to advance to the quarterfinals of the ITA All-American Championship since current head coach
Ramsey Smith and teammate Marko Cerenko in 2000. As a result of the quarterfinal appearance, Alvarez qualifies for the USTA/ITA National Indoor Championships in Flushing Meadows, N.Y., from Nov. 6-9.
Volleyball•
Jeme Obeime broke into the top 20 on Duke's career kills lists this weekend. She totaled 28 kills to bring her career total to 1,132 – good for 16th in school history. Obeime needs just 26 more kills to take over the 15th spot on the list.
