STANFORD, Calif. – Duke wrestling concludes action on the West Coast after falling to Stanford in an outdoor dual at Taube Family Tennis Center on Saturday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
•   The Cardinal started off strong and never really looked back.
•   The Blue Devils found themselves down 13-0 as the 149-pound bout was set to begin.
•   Graduate student Jarred Papcsy was strong defensively for Duke at the position against No. 10 Jaden Abas, staying within four points after the first two periods.
•   Unfortunately, Abas pulled ahead in the third period to defeat Papcsy in a 12-7 decision.
•   Senior Conor Becker also stayed competitive with Stanford's Jack Darrah, trailing 1-0 at the start of the third period.
•   Darrah eventually registered a takedown to defeat Becker, 4-2, in the end.
•   The Cardinal were able to limit Duke throughout the remaining matches to secure the win.

UP NEXT
The Blue Devils continue the road swing, traveling to Morgantown, W.Va., for the West Virginia Duals on Nov. 12. The Blue Devils open the day at 1 p.m., against the host Mountaineers, before taking on Kent State at 3 p.m., and ending the day with Cleveland State at 5 p.m.
