DURHAM, N.C. – Redshirt junior offensive lineman Brian Parker IIadded two more midseason All-America honors, receiving first team nods from Athlon Sports and Pro Football Focus (PFF), to bring his combined total to five midseason squads.Â
Parker II is in his third season as Duke's starting right tackle and was a preseason All-America pick by Phil Steele (third team) and Athlon Sports (fourth team). In addition to the All-America honors, he was a Preseason First Team All-ACC selection by Phil Steele and earned a spot on the watch lists for the Outland Trophy and East-West Shrine Bowl.
Parker's 93.5 PFF grade this season is three points better than any other offensive lineman in college football. His 94.0 PFF run-blocking grade is over four points better than any other FBS offensive lineman.Â
