DURHAM, N.C. – Ahead of the 2025 campaign, junior
Lena Mills was named to the 2025 Preseason ACC Rowing Watch List, the conference office announced Wednesday.
The list consists of one student-athlete from each program, nominated by their respective schools. The ACC is the only conference with a preseason rowing watch list.
A 2024 CRCA All-American, Mills was a key member of the Varsity Eight lineup last season, seeing action in all nine regattas. She was part of the V8 lineup that placed third in their final race at the Lake Wheeler Invitational to help the Blue Devils finish second overall in the team standings. Mills also guided the V8 to a fourth-place finish in its grand final race at the 2024 ACC Championships.
She earned All-ACC accolades for her efforts after helping the team to a third-place finish at the ACC Championships on Lake Wheeler. The Lymington, England native collected all-conference honors for the first time in her career after picking up a first team nod.
Mills was also recognized for her hard work in the classroom. She was one of 11 Blue Devils to be named a 2024 CRCA Scholar-Athlete, turning in an impressive 4.0 spring semester GPA while working toward a degree in neuroscience.
Duke kicks off the spring slate Saturday, March 1 with a scrimmage against Virginia on Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, N.C.
