No. 16 Duke Sweeps No. 15 Indiana to Conclude Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. – No. 16 Duke rowing closed out the second day of the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational with a five-race sweep over No. 15 Indiana on Sunday afternoon.
As a team, the Blue Devils won all 10 races they competed in and each boat improved their times on the second day of competition.

As a team, the Blue Devils won all 10 races they competed in and each boat improved their times on the second day of competition.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Duke's Third Varsity Eight opened Sunday's racing with a first-place finish, clocking the winning time of 6:49.491.
- The Varsity Eight boat improved their time by nearly eight seconds in their second race of the weekend, crossing the finish line in 6:24.913.
- The Varsity Four crew of coxswain Lucy Herrick, Sophia Greco, Vivienne Foley, Grace Matos and Chelsea Proutt cruised to victory in 7:10.969, almost 20 seconds ahead of the second-place boat from Indiana.
- Duke collected another first-place finish in the Second Varsity Eight race after powering past Indiana to a time of 6:30.490.
- The Second Varsity Four completed the five-race sweep over the Hoosiers, registering a time of 7:22.240 to close out competition at the regatta.
