DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke men's basketball team will host Florida in Cameron Indoor Stadium this season, welcoming the Gators on Tuesday, Dec. 2, as part of the third edition of the ACC/SEC Challenge. Tip-off time and TV information will be announced at a later date.
Duke and Florida, both coming off a trip to the Final Four, have met on the hardwood 18 times, with the Blue Devils holding a 14-4 series advantage. Duke has won the past two matchups, including an 87-84 victory in the last meeting on Nov. 26, 2017, in Portland, Oregon.
The Gators will be making their first trip to Cameron Indoor Stadium since the 1998-99 season, a game in which the Blue Devils raced to a 116-86 victory on Dec. 9, 1998.
In last season's ACC/SEC Challenge, a top-10 clash in Durham, Duke defeated Auburn, 84-78, on Dec. 4, 2024. The Blue Devils are now 1-1 in the cross-conference challenge, including an 80-75 setback at Arkansas in 2023.
The Blue Devils' 2025-26 non-conference schedule now includes four opponents that are coming off NCAA Tournament campaigns, with Florida (Dec. 2, Durham, N.C.) joining the previously-announced matchups with Texas (Nov. 4, Charlotte, N.C.), Kansas (Nov. 18, New York, N.Y.) and Arkansas (Nov. 27, Chicago).
During the 2024-25 campaign, under the direction of third-year head coach
Jon Scheyer, the Blue Devils made the program's 18th Final Four appearance, captured Duke's 23rd ACC Tournament title, claimed the conference regular-season championship for the 21st time and achieved a 30-win season for the 17th time with an overall record of 35-4. Duke boasts six returners from last year's squad, while also signing the nation's top-ranked recruiting class.
