
Six Blue Devils Named 2025 ITA Scholar-Athletes

DURHAM, N.C. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its 2025 Scholar-Athletes, with six Blue Devils earning individual honors. Duke was also recognized as a 2025 ITA All-Academic Team.
The six Blue Devils named ITA Scholar-Athletes include Alexander Visser, Connor Krug, Jake Krug, Gerard Planelles Ripoll, Saahith Jayaraman and Teddy Truwit. Jake Krug earned the distinction for the fourth consecutive year while Connor Krug and Truwit were recognized for the third time in their careers. Visser, Planelles Ripoll and Jayaraman each received the honor for the first time.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letterwinners were factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must meet the following criteria: have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
