The Durham native logged a career-high 3.0 sacks versus No. 11 Illinois. Of the Fighting Illini's first 10 offensive plays, two were Anthony Jr. sacks. He had booked all 3.0 sacks within the first 16 minutes of action.
Anthony Jr.'s 3.0 sacks are tied for the fourth most in a single game in program history and the most since Chris Rumph II booked 3.0 versus Charlotte on Oct. 31, 2020. Anthony Jr.'s 3.0 are also tied with Phillip Alexander (3.0; No. 6 Florida State; Sept. 27, 2003) for the most by a Blue Devil against a ranked opponent.
After booking 1.0 sack against Elon, Anthony Jr. has 1.0+ sack in back-to-back games for the first time in his career and has 1.0 or more in three of his last four appearances. The multi-sack game is the second of the Durham native's career after recording 2.0 against Elon in 2024.
Anthony Jr. enters the weekend ranked first nationally and first in the ACC with 4.0 sacks.
