DURHAM, N.C. – Duke head football coach Manny Diaz announced Tuesday that defensive back Ché Ojarikre has signed a financial aid agreement to attend the institution and join the Blue Devil gridiron program.
Ojarikre played in 23 games with six starts for Stanford over the past three years.
This fall, the 6-2, 180-pound Ojarikre played in all 12 games and started six. He booked 30 tackles and two pass breakups. He carded three or more tackles six times, four or more five times and a year-high five against California. He was credited with one pass breakup against Miami and another versus Notre Dame.
Ojarikre, a Alpharetta, Georgia, native, will have two seasons of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2026 campaign.
He did not play in the 2024 campaign due to injury. As a true freshman in 2023, Ojarikre appeared in 11 games, primarily on special teams and defensive back. He booked four tackles and registered an interception against Notre Dame in the season finale.
During his Cardinal career, he totaled 34 tackles, one interception and two pass breakups.
