DURHAM, N.C. – Duke head football coach Manny Diaz announced Friday that offensive lineman Braden Miller has signed a financial aid agreement to attend the institution and join the Blue Devil gridiron program.
The 6-6, 315-pound Miller played in 22 games, starting seven, for Michigan State (three) and California (19) the past three years. He helped the Bears to a combined record of 13-13 across the last two seasons with appearances in the 2024 Art of Sport LA Bowl Hosted By Gronk and 2025 Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl.
Miller appeared in all 13 games and started seven, six at left tackle and one at right tackle, this fall for California, helping the Bears to seven wins during the 2025Â campaign, including a 29-26 upset victory at No. 14 Louisville. His work helped California stand fourth in the ACC in passing yards per game (275.9) and Kendrick Raphael to rank seventh in the league in rushing yards per game (72.54). Â
In 2024, Miller appeared in six games as a reserve for the Bears. As a redshirt freshman during the 2023 season, Miller experienced action in three games for Michigan State, versus Richmond, Indiana and Penn State. Miller did not appear in any games as a true freshman in 2022.
Miller, an Aurora, Colorado, native, will have one season of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2026 campaign.Â
