DURHAM, N.C. — Duke wrestling redshirt junior
Connor Barket has been named to the 2025-26 Allstate National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Winter Good Works Team, as announced by the organization Tuesday.Â
Â
Barket was among a group of 20 student-athletes selected whose service strengthened their campuses and communities.Â
Â
The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team was created to spotlight and reward student-athletes for their outstanding community service. Honorees include men and women from all NCAA divisions, with student-athletes recognized each season across winter, spring and fall sports.
Â
This season's team was selected from 180 student-athletes nominated by their schools. Honorees receive a monetary contribution from Allstate to further support their community service.
Â
A three-time team captain, Barket has demonstrated exceptional leadership both on and off the mat while serving as a member of Duke Athletics' Greg Dale Advancing Leaders Program. He is the president and co-founder of the Rising Athletes Foundation, a nonprofit that provides tutoring, mentoring and financial assistance to local high school student-athletes.
Â
Barket, who hails from West Lafayette, Indiana, extended his service internationally in 2024 as a member of Duke's ACE in Panama Program, spending 10 days supporting Panamanian elementary schools through after school programming. As a 2025 ACE Ambassador, Barket continues to help recruit, promote and fundraise for future service trips. His service makes a local impact through volunteer work with the Ronald McDonald House, SEEDS, the Emily K. Center and by running wrestling camps and practices for youth.
Â
A 2025 NCAA Championship qualifier, Barket is a two-time NWCA All-American Scholar, 2025 All-ACC Academic Team honoree and three-time ACC Honor Roll selection. He is currently ranked No. 20 nationally with an 18-5 record this season.Â
Â
Barket and the Duke wrestling team enters the final week of the regular season with two bouts remaining – at Virginia Tech Friday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m., before hosting Cornell Sunday, Feb. 22 at 12 p.m.
