CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The Duke wrestling team traveled down the road to 13th-ranked North Carolina Friday evening and featured four Blue Devils with wins, but dropped a 25-13 decision to the Tar Heels inside Carmichael Arena.

Totaling victories on the evening were
Aidan Wallace (174),
Connor Barket (285),
Raymond Adams (141) and
Dylan Ross (149). It marked the second match in a row that the trio of Wallace, Barket and Ross totaled victories. Duke dropped to 6-11, 0-4 in the ACC, while North Carolina moved to 9-3, 2-3.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The match opened at 157 pounds with Duke's Mikey Boulanger going up against 28th-ranked Laird Root of the Tar Heels.After falling behind, 12-2, in the second period, Boulanger registered the Blue Devils' first takedown of the night to cut into the lead, 12-5.Laird ended up totaling a 16-6 major decision victory.
- At 174 pounds, Duke's 23rd-ranked Aidan Wallace and Collin Carrigan featured a scoreless first period.A product of Mahwah, N.J., Wallace took a 1-0 lead with an escape in the second.He then collected a takedown to go ahead, 4-0.With a 4-0 lead entering the third, Wallace added another takedown to move the ledger to 7-0.Carrigan added an escape with 20 seconds remaining, but Wallace was too strong notching a 7-1 decision.
- The Blue Devils notched at least one takedown in each of the first four bouts.
- At heavyweight, Duke's 20th-ranked Connor Barket had a scoreless first period against Jacob Levy.Barket, who hails from West Lafayette, Indiana, took a 1-0 lead in the second and then registered a takedown to go ahead, 4-0.Barket added a point for UNC stalling and led 5-0 entering the third.With another takedown, Barket moved the score to 9-0 with less than a minute remaining and won a 10-0 major decision.
- Looking for his first career ACC victory at 125 pounds, Duke redshirt sophomore Spencer von Savoye faced Cameron Stinson, Jr.Stinson took a 3-0 lead with a takedown in the first and led 7-3 entering the third period.With two takedowns in the third, von Savoye evened the match, 8-8, with 30 seconds left.Stinson was able to get a late escape to win, 9-8.
- At 141 pounds, junior Raymond Adams faced UNC's Marco Tocci.Adams took a 3-0 lead early with a takedown in the first and led, 3-1, entering the second period.Tocci added an escape in the second to cut into the lead, 3-2.With a takedown as time expired in the second, Tocci took his first lead of the match at 5-3.Adams, a native of Merrick, New York, registered an escape with under a minute remaining and trailed, 5-4.With a strong finish in the final seconds, Adams posted another takedown to collect the 7-5 decision.
- Redshirt freshman Dylan Ross went up against North Carolina's Nate Askew in the final bout of the evening at 149 pounds.After a scoreless first period, Ross took a 1-0 lead 30 seconds into the second with an escape.Askew evened the score, 1-1, with an escape of his own with 1:10 remaining in the third.Ross, who is from Edgewater, New Jersey, collected a takedown 32 seconds into sudden victory extra time to register the win.

- Aidan Wallace moved to 24-3 on the season and 15-2 in dual match play. He is now 3-1 in ACC action in 2025-26. Wallace has allowed one or fewer points in four out of his last six bouts. With Wallace's 24 wins, he now sits tied for sixth on Duke's single-season wins list for 174 pounds.Â
- Connor Barket collected his third ACC win of the year and ninth of his career. He moved to 18-4 on the season and 58-33 on his career. Barket is now 12-2 in dual action this season. His 18 wins on the year is now tied for seventh on Duke's single-season charts.Â
- Raymond Adams totaled his third career ACC victory and first of the 2025-26 campaign. He now owns nine wins on the season and six in dual match play. Adams has collected at least one ACC win in each of his first three years with the Blue Devils.
- Dylan Ross totaled his third ACC win of the season and moved to 14-8. He is now 7-6 in dual matches. Ross has won seven out of his last nine matches.Â
