DURHAM, N.C. — Former Duke women's soccer standout
Kat Rader has been named to the United States Under-23 Women's National Team for a training camp that will run from June 1-9 in São Paulo, Brazil.
Rader and the U.S. squad will play two matches against Brasileirão Feminino Série A1 side SC Corinthians Paulista, with the first match scheduled for June 5 at DR Joaquim Grava Stadium on the SC Corinthians training ground. The second match is set for June 9 at Estadio Marcelo Portugal Gouveia at the São Paulo FC youth training ground in Cotia.
Corinthians are currently in first place in their league and finished as runners-up in the inaugural FIFA Women's Champions Cup last February, losing 3-2 to Arsenal FC in the championship game in London.
As a rookie with the Houston Dash of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), Rader has played in 11 matches and scored four goals in 919 minutes. She has added one assist as well. Rader's four goals are tied for the NWSL lead for rookies.
The camp marks the third training camp of 2026 for the U.S. U-23 squad, which will be in Brazil along with
Michelle Cooper and the full U.S. Women's National Team (USWNT), meaning 46 of the top players in the United States will get to experience the host country for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup.
The USWNT will play Brazil June 6 in São Paulo and June 9 in Fortaleza. When the USWNT travels to Fortaleza, the U-23s, who will attend the June 6 match, will stay in São Paulo to finish their training camp.
