This season, 10 former Blue Devils are rostered in the NWSL: Hannah Bebar (Bay FC), Tess Boade (Bay FC), Michelle Cooper (Kansas City Current), Mary Long (Kansas City Current), Maggie Graham (Houston Dash),
Kat Rader (Houston Dash), Ella Hase (Racing Louisville FC), Ella Stevens (Boston Legacy FC),
Carina Lageyre (Angel City FC)
Devin Lynch (Denver Summit FC) and Leah Freeman (San Diego Wave FC).
In the USL Super League, three Blue Devils are rostered: Lily Nabet (Carolina Ascent FC), Sophie Jones (Sporting Club Jacksonville) and
Farrah Walters (Tampa Bay Sun FC).
In the Canadian Northern Super League (NSL), Quinn plays for Vancouver Rise FC.
Several former Blue Devils play overseas, including Kayla McKenna (Grasshopper Club Zurich, Jamaica Women's National Team), Toni Payne (Everton, Nigeria Women's National Team), Mia Gyau (Stade de Reims), Caitlin Cosme (FC Nantes Féminines, Puerto Rico Women's National Team) and Dieynaba "JJ" Ndaw (Senegal Women's National Team).
Kat Rader #22 Houston Dash
In three full seasons with Duke (redshirting her junior year due to a lower-body injury), Rader started all but four of her 65 matches, finishing fifth in game-winning goals (13) and seventh in goals (32). A part of back-to-back NCAA College Cup qualifying teams in 2024 and 2025, Rader earned United Soccer Coaches First Team All-America and NCAA College Cup All-Tournament Team honors in her final year with the Blue Devils.
This past January, Rader signed with the Houston Dash, making her debut in March. Rader scored her first professional goal and notched her first assist against the Boston Legacy FC. Since then, Rader has made an immediate impact in her rookie season, playing 1,009 minutes across 11 matches as a forward. She is tied for the rookie lead with four goals, which ranks tied for eighth overall in the league. Rader also leads all rookies with 21 shots and 14 shots on goal. Devin Lynch (Denver Summit) and
Carina Lageyre (Angel City) have combined for 26 starts this season.
Devin Lynch #5 Denver Summit
In four years with the Blue Devils, Lynch started 54 of 81 matches for Duke, leading the Blue Devils to back-to-back NCAA College Cup appearances. The ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week from the week for September 2, 2025, scored 13 goals and notched 17 assists in her final two seasons with the Blue Devils.
This past January, Lynch signed with Denver Summit FC of the USL Super League on a one-year deal. Lynch has quickly made an impact, ranking fifth among rookies with 903 minutes played. Lynch also leads all rookies with 20 tackles, which ranks tied for ninth overall in the league and sits second among rookies with 19 interceptions. Lynch and fellow Duke rookies
Kat Rader (Houston Dash) and
Carina Lageyre (Angel City FC) have combined for 26 starts this season.
Carina Lageyre #16 Angel City FC
Lageyre appeared in 65 matches for Duke over four years, starting her final 58. She led the Blue Devils to the NCAA College Cup during her junior and senior seasons, earning All-ACC Third Team Honors as a senior. While at Duke, Lageyre played with the U.S. U-20 Women's Youth National Team at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Costa Rica and the Sud Ladies Cup in France.
The midfielder signed a three-year contract with Angel City FC in January and has continued to gain valuable professional experience during her rookie season. Lageyre has appeared in six matches and logged 355 minutes in the midfield for Angel City. She has started each of the last four matches and is making an impact, after being injured for a lot of the preseason. Lageyre and fellow Duke rookies

Devin Lynch (Denver Summit) have combined for 26 starts during their first professional seasons.
Hannah Bebar: #41 Bay FC
Bebar played her only season at Duke as a graduate transfer in 2024, earning United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-America and First Team All-Region honors, NCAA College Cup All-Tournament Team recognition, and All-ACC Second Team accolades. Starting all 22 matches, she helped lead the Blue Devils to the ACC Regular Season title and an NCAA College Cup appearance. Last year, Bebar was called up to the U.S. Women's National Team for the SheBelieves Cup.
This season, Bebar has started all 11 matches for Bay FC, logging 984 minutes in midfield. She has contributed 17 tackles while registering 11 shots, including three on goal, and has continued to play a key role for Bay FC during the 2026 season.
Tess Boade #12 Bay FC
Over five seasons at Duke, Boade appeared in 93 matches, earning First Team All-ACC and United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region honors. She finished her career tied for fourth in program history in matches played (93) and tied for eighth in game-winning goals (10).
Following a stint with the NC Courage, Boade was selected as the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NWSL expansion draft by Bay FC. Coming off 980 minutes played across 19 matches (10 starts) last season for Bay FC, Boade has logged 19 minutes across two matches this season.
Michelle Cooper #17 Kansas City Current
In two seasons with Duke, Cooper scored or assisted in 29 of 40 matches, becoming the first Blue Devil to win the Hermann Trophy in 2022, in addition to earning ACC Offensive Player of the Year and United Soccer Coaches & College Soccer News First Team All-America Honors. She was called up to the U.S. Women's National Team for the 2025 SheBelieves Cup, appearing in matches against Colombia and Australia. She earned her first start with the USWNT against Brazil and notched her first assist against China. Cooper continues to be a mainstay on the U.S. Women's National Team.
Cooper was selected second overall by Kansas City in the 2023 NWSL Draft. As a rookie, she set the NWSL record for fastest goal in league history (22 seconds). Last season, Cooper and the Kansas City Current won the NWSL Shield. Since then, Cooper has remained a vital part of the team and displayed her strength as a player. This season, Cooper has played 814 minutes across 12 matches, scoring two goals and registering 14 shots, eight of which were on goal. Cooper has also contributed 11 tackles.
Mary Long #19 Kansas City Current
Long tore her ACL in the offseason and is currently rehabbing the injury. Last year, as a rookie, Long appeared in 10 matches for the Current, recording one assist. In her lone year with the Blue Devils, Long scored three goals in 15 matches, leading Duke to the NCAA College Cup. She was a member of the U.S. U-17 team that won the bronze medal at the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.
Maggie Graham #19 Houston Dash
Over five seasons with Duke, Graham started 72 of 101 matches, becoming one of three Blue Devils to play over 100 career matches. A finalist for the Hermann Trophy in 2024, Graham received United Soccer Coaches First Team All-America and ACC Midfielder of the Year honors. Graham became the first player signed by the Houston Dash of the NWSL in the post-draft era, inking a three-year contract in 2025. In her rookie year, Graham earned NWSL Rookie of the Month honors in March; she was named Young Player of the Year by the Dash, scoring three goals in 16 starts and 20 appearances before a September shoulder injury.
This season, Graham has played 997 minutes across 12 matches, scoring three goals and taking 10 shots, five of which were on target. She contributed one assist and 12 tackles, while starting 11 of her 12 matches played. Graham recently signed a multi-year contract extension with Houston through 2029.
Ella Hase #16 Racing Louisville FC
In her graduate transfer year at Duke, Hase started the final 21 matches of the season, earning All-ACC Second Team and NCAA College Cup All-Tournament Team honors while leading the Blue Devils to an ACC Regular Season Title. She tallied 13 assists and leading the Blue Devils record 12 shutouts. Hase signed her first professional contract with Racing Louisville in 2025, scoring one goal in 24 matches played.
This season, Hase has played 620 minutes across nine games, contributing eight tackles and six shots, three of which were on goal. Of the nine matches played, Hase has started eight.
Ella Stevens #10 Boston Legacy FC
Ella Stevens, a 2019 graduate of Duke University, enters her seventh season in the NWSL. At Duke, Stevens received All-ACC Honors all four years, earning United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region Second Team honors as a senior. Stevens appeared in 83 matches with Duke, starting 73; she tied for the team lead in points and assists.
Stevens was taken with the 24th selection in the 2020 NWSL College Draft by the Chicago Red Stars. Stevens appeared for the Red Stars in the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup, making her regular-season debut in 2022. This season, Stevens has appeared in six games, logging 173 minutes of playtime and recording one shot on goal.
Leah Freeman #1 San Diego Wave FC
Goalkeeper Leah Freeman transferred to Duke in 2024, where she played the final two years of her collegiate career. In those two seasons, Freeman started all 37 matches for the Blue Devils, notching 12 shutouts and 23 total victories. In her final year at Duke, the Blue Devils won the ACC Regular Season Championship and qualified for the NCAA College Cup, while Freeman was named ACC Goalkeeper of the Year, earning All-ACC First Team and United Soccer Coaches First Team All-America honors.
Freeman made her NWSL debut with Bay FC, who signed her to a contract for the second half of the 2025 campaign. This past January, Freeman signed a one-year contract with San Diego Wave FC, making her debut against Utah in March. This season, Freeman has played 540 minutes in six games, recording eight saves and two shutouts. She started the first six matches of the season for San Diego Wave FC. Freeman led San Diego to a 5-1 record in her six starts.
USL Super League
Lily Nabet - #28 Carolina Ascent FC
Nabet, who spent five seasons at Duke between 2017 and 2021, was a team captain for the Blue Devils. Nabet started 55 of 86 matches, notching one goal and five assists. She led the Blue Devils to back-to-back NCAA quarterfinals.
Nabet began her professional career in the NWSL, as she was selected 36th overall by Angel City FC in the 2022 NWSL Draft. She appeared in 10 matches as a rookie. After extending her contract, Nabet started 13 matches for Angel City. In late 2025, Nabet was loaned to Fort Lauderdale United of the USL Super League, and earlier this year, she signed with Carolina Ascent FC of the USL Super League. In 2026, Nabet started 22 of 24 matches, playing 1,761 minutes and recording one goal and one assist. She helped lead the Ascent to the championship match of the USL Super League.
Sophie Jones – #8 Sporting Club Jacksonville
Sophie Jones, a 2022 Duke graduate, started all 75 matches she appeared in for the Blue Devils, tying her for the fifth-most consecutive starts at Duke. A 2022 United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-America and All-ACC Second Team honoree, Jones tallied five goals and eight assists over her four years.
The 43rd overall selection in the 2023 NWSL Draft, Jones was drafted by the Chicago Red Stars. After two years with Chicago, Jones signed with Sporting JAX of the USL Super League and was named team captain for the club's inaugural season. Jones started all 29 matches in 2026, logging 2,533 minutes of playtime, recording nine shots with three on target and one assist. She earned All-League Second Team honors for her efforts.
Farrah Walters - #27 Tampa Bay Sun FC
After two seasons with Santa Clara, Walters spent her final two seasons with the Blue Devils, starting 16 of 40 matches in 2024 and 2025. She led the Blue Devils to an ACC regular-season championship and the NCAA College Cup in her first season and a second-straight appearance in the NCAA College Cup in 2025.
This past March, Walters signed with USL Super League club Tampa Bay Sun FC. Walters made one substitute appearance, logging 25 minutes, as she was dealing with an injury.
Northern Super League (NSL)
Quinn - #5 Vancouver Rise FC
In five years with the Blue Devils, Quinn appeared in 69 matches, starting 60. They recorded six goals and seven assists, leading the Blue Devils to the 2017 NCAA College Cup. As a redshirt senior, Quinn was named ACC Midfielder of the Year, earning United Soccer Coaches First Team All-America and All-ACC First Team honors. Quinn has represented Team Canada at the 2019 World Cup and three Olympic Games, where they won bronze in 2016 and gold in 2020.
Quinn was drafted third overall by the Washington Spirit in the 2018 NWSL College Draft. After their rookie year with the Spirit, Quinn spent one year with Paris FC before returning to the NWSL with Reign FC, where Quinn spent five years.
Last year, Quinn scored the first goal in Northern Super League history with Vancouver Rise FC, earning Player of the Month honors in September 2025. Quinn has been named co-captain of Vancouver Rise FC, which opened its season against AFC Toronto April 24. They have logged 638 minutes of action this season and recorded three shots.
Overseas Teams
Kayla McKenna - #12 Grasshopper Club Zurich (Switzerland)
A four-year Blue Devil and 2018 graduate of Duke, McKenna earned United Soccer Coaches First Team All-America and All-ACC First Team honors. Leading the Blue Devils to two NCAA College Cup appearances (as a freshman and junior), McKenna finished her Duke career with 38 goals, including 15 game-winning goals.
McKenna signed with the Houston Dash prior to the 2019 NWSL season. In 2021, she joined Rangers of the Scottish Women's Premier League, with whom she scored 25 goals in 40 appearances.
After two years in the Spanish Liga F, McKenna signed with Grasshopper Club Zurich of the Swiss Women's Super League. This season, McKenna logged 1,272 minutes for Grasshopper Club Zurich with nine goals in 17 matches.
Playing with the Jamaica women's national team since 2019, McKenna was named to the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup team and has played in CONCACAF tournament matches. She continues to see action with Jamaica on the international stage.
Toni Payne - #9 Everton (England)
The 2016 Duke graduate earned NSCAA All-Southeast Region and All-ACC First Team honors as a senior. Payne finished her Duke playing career with 23 goals and 21 assists. She helped lead the Blue Devils to the NCAA College Cup as a junior.
Payne made her professional debut with Dutch club AFC Ajax, appearing in 22 matches. From 2018-2024, she appeared in 168 matches for Sevilla. In 2024, Payne moved to the Women's Super League club Everton. This season with Everton, Payne appeared in 19 matches, starting 13 and logging 1,077 minutes. She totaled two assists.
With the Nigerian National Team, Payne has played in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations, the 2023 FIFA World Cup, the 2024 Summer Olympics, and the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations. Payne recently scored her first international goal for Nigeria against Senegal during an international friendly match on June 5.
Mia Gyau - #3 Stade de Reims (France)
Gyau played for the Blue Devils from 2016-19, starting 32 of 36 matches she appeared in at midfield and defense. She scored two goals and notched three assists with Duke and was a member of the 2017 NCAA College Cup team, although injuries limited her. She signed with San Diego Wave FC of the NWSL in 2022, appearing in six matches over two years.
In 2024, she signed with Stade de Reims, a French club, and appeared in 10 matches during the second half of the club's season. Gyau made 17 appearances, 13 starts and logged 1,272 minutes during the 2024-25 season. Her stats for the 2025-26 season were not available.
Caitlin Cosme – #3 FC Nantes (France)
Cosme, a five-year Blue Devil, scored 10 goals for Duke in 70 match appearances, starting 59 of her final 62 games. Cosme earned United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region Honors as a Graduate Student. Cosme was selected with the 10th overall pick in the 2022 NWSL Draft by the Orlando Pride, with whom she appeared in four matches over two seasons.
In April 2024, Cosme signed with Stjarnan, a club playing in the Icelandic league Besta deild kvenna. Cosme scored two goals in 11 appearances in her lone season with Stjarnan. She made her debut with French club FC Nantes last season in the French Première Ligue. Cosme scored one goal in 15 starts and 18 appearances. In 2025-26, Cosme started 10 of 22 matches and recorded one goal and two shots.
Cosme made her international debut with the Puerto Rican national team in May of 2025.
Dieynaba "JJ" Ndaw – #7 Senegal
Ndaw competed for the Blue Devils from 2021-23 and saw action in 22 career matches. She made three starts and scored a goal on the road at Virginia in a key, 1-1, draw in ACC play.
Ndaw continues to represent her home country of Senegal on the international stage and recently faced former Duke standout Toni Payne of Nigeria.
