Boutier, Maguire Earn Places on European Solheim Cup Squad

DURHAM, N.C. – For the 10th consecutive Solheim Cup, Duke women's golf will be well-represented as a pair of Blue Devils – Celine Boutier and Leona Maguire – have been named to the 2026 European squad.
Boutier received one of eight automatic qualifiers, while Maguire was one of four wild-card picks by European team captain Anna Nordqvist.
The 2026 edition of the Solheim Cup will take place at Bernardus Golf from Sept. 11-13 in Bernardus, Netherlands.
Boutier, a 2016 Duke graduate, will be making her fifth consecutive appearance in the Solheim Cup and owns a 7-6-1 career record.
A 2018 Blue Devil graduate, Maguire has carded an impressive 8-3-1 record, and she will be competing in her fourth straight Solheim Cup.
"I'm really excited to be part of Team Europe again in September and I'm happy that Anna has picked me to be on the team," said Maguire. "I love the Solheim Cup, it brings the best out of my game and I love being part of the team. I can't wait to represent Europe for the fourth time and to be back on European soil."
The Solheim Cup combines the tradition and prestige of the game of golf with the passion of representing one's country and continent. This biennial international match-play competition features the best U.S. players from the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour and the best European players from the Ladies European Tour (LET).
The event has grown into the most prestigious international women's professional golf team event. The U.S. team leads the European team, 11-7-1, all-time in Solheim Cup competition.
Other Duke golfers who have competed in the Solheim Cup include Boutier (2019, 2021, 2023, 2024), Maguire (2021, 2023, 2024) and Brittany Lang (2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017). Lang will be an assistant coach for the United States in 2026.
The full U.S. team will be announced following the CPKC Women's Open Aug. 20-23.
