Four Blue Devils Set for 2026 Solheim Cup

CROMVOIRT, Netherlands – The 2026 edition of the Solheim Cup will open Friday in Cromvoirt with four Duke women's golfers seeing action this weekend. Former Blue Devil standouts Celine Boutier and Leona Maguire will represent the European team, while Lindy Duncan and Brittany Lang will be a part of the United States contingent.
The action will take place Sept. 11-13 at Bernardus Golf.
The 2026 Solheim Cup marks the 20th edition, which began in 1990. This biennial international match-play competition features the best U.S. players from the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour and the best European players from the Ladies European Tour (LET). The U.S. team holds an 11-7-1 advantage in the all-time series, but the margin has tightened considerably in recent years.
Boutier, a 2016 Duke graduate, will be making her fifth consecutive appearance in the Solheim Cup and owns a 7-6-1 career record. A 2018 Blue Devil graduate, Maguire has carded an impressive 8-3-1 record, and she will be competing in her fourth straight Solheim Cup.
A 2013 Duke graduate, Duncan will make her debut at the Solheim Cup, while Lang is an assistant captain for the United States.
Duke golfers have been a fixture in the Solheim Cup over the years as the Blue Devils have featured at least one golfer in the Solheim Cup in each of the past 10 competitions.
A Blue Devil golfer has led her Solheim Cup team to wins in five out of the last six events – Maguire and Boutier (2023 and 2021), Boutier (2019), Lang (2017 and 2015).
In Friday morning's foursomes, Boutier will team with Nanna Koerstz Madsen against the United States' Alison Lee and Lauren Coughlin at 1:52 a.m. Maguire and Esther Henseleit of the Europeans will face Duncan and Andrea Lee at 2:04 a.m.
Fans will be able to follow the action live on the Golf Channel Friday and Saturday from 1:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET and on Sunday from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET.
