Former Duke football captain Dave Harding joined the Blue Devil staff in July, 2014 and serves as the Executive Director of Blue Devil Network, overseeing all of Blue Devil Network. He was elevated from his previous role in January of 2020.Â
A four-time Academic All-ACC selection and All-ACC choice in 2012, Harding started 41 games at both offensive guard and center during his tenure with the Blue Devils. A team captain in 2013, he helped Duke to the ACC Coastal Division championship in 2013 as well as two bowl games (Belk in 2012 & Chick-fil-A in 2013). Following the 2013 season when the Blue Devils won a school record 10 games, Harding was named the recipient of the program’s Ace Parker Award, an honor presented annually to an individual who displays unparalleled commitment to the team and overcomes adversity to contribute.
In addition, Harding was named to the 2013 American Football Coaches Association Good Works Team for his achievement in community service, and as a member of the prestigious group represented Duke at the Allstate Sugar Bowl on January 2, 2014, in New Orleans. He twice received Capital One Academic All-District honors while being named to the National Football Foundation’s Hampshire Honor Society.
Harding is married to former Blue Devil women's lacrosse letterwinner Taylor Trimble, who was an All-ACC and Academic All-ACC honoree during her career. Harding graduated from Duke in 2013 with a degree in public policy studies and later earned a graduate degree in political science in 2014.
