Emma Becerra joined the Duke Athletics staff in February of 2025 as a Communications Assistant. In her role, she serves as the primary media contact for volleyball, women’s lacrosse and swimming and diving.

Prior to her arrival at Duke, Becerra was a communications assistant at Utah State University, serving as the media relations liaison for the men’s and women’s tennis teams. She managed the programs’ social media accounts as well as game day operations and statistics. Â

Originally from Corona, Calif., Becerra graduated from Utah State with a B.A. in journalism and communications in December of 2024. She was a member of the Aggie women’s soccer team from 2021-22, earning Academic All-Mountain West accolades in 2022.
