Jeremy Cobb, a certified and licensed athletic trainer with extensive experience in both NCAA Division I FBS and NFL settings, joined Duke in July 2023. He currently serves as an Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Blue Devil football program.Â
Before joining Duke, he served as the head football athletic trainer at Texas State. Prior to that, he held a similar position at Nevada in 2018, where he was later appointed head football athletic trainer. He began at Nevada as Assistant Director of Sports Medicine in 2014, where he oversaw athletic training for various sports, including serving as an assistant football trainer and primary trainer for men's and women's golf.
Cobb's journey in the field began as a graduate assistant at New Mexico, where he contributed to the football team's training efforts and assisted with men's and women's track and field, as well as the ski teams and men's golf squad. He also gained valuable experience during his time as a summer intern with the Dallas Cowboys in 2013, and later assisted the Justin Boots sports medicine staff in 2017 and 2018.
Cobb earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training from Texas State University in 2014 and his master's degree in physical education with a focus on sports administration from New Mexico in 2016. He is certified as an athletic trainer by the NATA Board of Certification and holds a license as an athletic trainer in North Carolina.
