DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke women's soccer team travels to the University of Virginia on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in Charlottesville, Va., at Klöckner Stadium. Virginia holds a slight advantage in the series with a 7-6-5 record over the Blue Devils. Duke has more ties against the Cavaliers than any other school in the history of Duke women's soccer.
Duke looks to rebound from a 2-1 loss to Charlotte Sunday afternoon. Duke is 6-7-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, while Virginia is 7-5-2 overall and 0-3 in the ACC.
Sophomore midfielder Casey McCluskey, who has scored four goals in the last three matches, and freshman forward Carolyn Riggs lead the Blue Devils with eight goals and 17 points. Freshman midfielder Shelly Marshall leads the team with four assists. Duke is outshooting its opponents 232-115 and has 28 goals compared to 20 goals for opponents.
