DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - The top-ranked Duke Blue Devils might feel a little homesick when they leave this weekend for a three-game road trip.
Duke's 106-58 victory over Florida International on Wednesday night was its 17th consecutive win at home and the Blue Devils have outscored their opponents by an average of 57.4 points per game at Cameron Indoor Stadium this season.
The Blue Devils, who are 9-0 for the second time in three seasons, lead the nation in scoring at 90.7 points per game.
"I am just really pleased overall with our play," Duke coach Gail Goestenkors said. "This is an excellent team."
Alana Beard and Iciss Tillis each scored 21 points and combined for 10 steals against the Golden Panthers (6-3).
"Alana did a really good job on their point guard to get them out of their rhythm, and Iciss did an exceptional job defensively as well," Goestenkors said. "Those two, in particular, really stepped it up on the defensive side of the floor."

Mistie Bass added 16 points for Duke, while Lindsey Harding had 14, Sheana Mosch 12 and Michele Matyasovsky 11.
Cormisha Cotton had 15 points to lead Florida International, while Ivelina Vrancheva added 10 points.
"We got outhustled," Cotton said. "We saw film and we knew they were fast. We're fast too, but they run in a lot of players."
On Monday night, Duke defeated Charleston Southern by 68 points, but faced a much better defensive effort from the Golden Panthers - at least in the game's early stages.
But the Blue Devils held Florida International to one field goal over a 10-minute stretch in the first half on the way to a 61-23 halftime lead.
The Blue Devils, who topped the 100-point mark in four of five games this season, outrebounded the Golden Panthers 40-31 and forced 25 turnovers.
"They were a great team on tape," Tillis said. "We just outplayed them on defense."
