Frank Cornely Earns ACC Wrestler Of The Week Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Duke's Frank Cornely was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestler of the Week, as announced by the conference this afternoon. Cornely notched a conference win this week.

Cornely picked up a 19-4 major decision over NC State's Rick Brownlee at 184 pounds to earn his seventh consecutive victory and fourth ACC win of the season. The senior from Pennsauken, N.J. has tallied three straight conference wins and is one of three wrestlers at 184 pounds with four or more wins in 2005. His string of seven straight victories has included three pins and two major decisions.

Next up for the Blue Devils is the 52nd annual ACC Wrestling Championship on Saturday, March 5 in Greensboro, N.C. on the campus of UNC-Greensboro. The championship is slated to begin at 11:00 am.
