Duke Wrestling To Compete At ACC Tournament On Saturday

DURHAM, N.C. ? The Duke wrestling team will compete at the ACC Tournament today in Lexington, Va. The Blue Devils enter the conference tournament 4-11 overall and 0-5 in the ACC.
Duke finished up the year strong, winning their last two regular season dual meets. On Feb. 18, the Blue Devils defeated Harvard, 24-21. In their last match of the year, Duke won seven of the nine contested matches to defeat Princeton, 27-12.
Duke Wrestling Lineup
125: Sophomore Kellan McKeon enters the ACC Tournament as the No. 6 seed at 125 pounds. McKeon was 14-18 overall and 1-4 in the ACC this season. He will square off against North Carolina's Bobby Shaw in the opening round.
133: Freshman Michael Degli Obizzi enters today's tournament as the No. 6 seed at 133 pounds. Degli Obizzi went 15-16 overall and 1-4 in the ACC during his freshman campaign. He will face Virginia's Eric Albright in the opening round.
141: Junior Philip Wightman will be the No. 6 seed at 141 pounds. Wightman was 13-12 overall with an 0-3 mark in the ACC this year. He will take on Maryland's Alex Krom in the first round.
149: Junior Daniel Shvartsman enters the ACC Tournament as the No. 3 seed at 149 pounds. Shvartsman posted a 16-13 overall record with a 3-2 mark in the conference this season. He will square off against Virginia's Drew Dipasquale in the opening round.
157: Freshman Addison Nuding will be the No. 6 seed in today's tournament at 157 pounds. Nuding was 12-15 overall and 0-1 in the ACC during his freshman campaign. He will face N.C. State's Kody Hamrah in the first round.
165: Redshirt freshman Aaron Glover enters the ACC Tournament as the No. 5 seed at 165 pounds. Glover went 15-21 overall and 0-5 in conference bouts during the 2005-06 season. He will take on N.C. State's Obie Simpson in the opening round.
174: Senior Levi Craig will be the No. 5 seed at 174 pounds. Craig was 5-9 overall and 1-4 in the ACC during his senior season. He will take on N.C. State's Rick Brownlee in the first round.
184: Redshirt freshman Dan Fox is the No. 5 seed at 184 pounds. Fox went 11-11 overall on the year. He did not compete in any ACC bouts during the regular season. He will square off against Virginia's Kyle Narkiewicz in the opening round.
197: Sophomore Konrad Dudziak enters the ACC Tournament as the No. 5 seed at 197 pounds. Dudziak was 9-5 overall and a team-best 4-1 in the ACC. He will face North Carolina's David Dashiell in the first round.
HWT: Freshman Wade Van Sickle will be the No. 5 seed in the heavyweight division at the ACC Tournament. Van Sickle went 17-20 overall and 1-4 in conference bouts during his freshman campaign. He will take on Virginia's Nick Smith in the opening round.
