Duke totaled season highs in points (95), field goals made (39), field goals attempted (94), free throw percentage (91.7) and assists (25).
Abby Waner registered five steals in the first half and went on to finish the game with a school-record 10. She also tied the ACC record with 10 steals as she became only the 11th player in ACC history to register 10 steals in a game. Her 10 steals this season is tied for the fourth-highest total in the NCAA this season. The previous Duke record was nine held by Missy Anderson (vs. Drake, 12-28-92) and Kim Matthews (vs. Davidson, 2-2-79). Duke forced a season-high 39 turnovers for the game.
The Blue Devils registered four players in double-figure scoring for only the third time this season (UNCG, Penn State).
Duke played for the first time since its Dec. 8 contest against Pittsburgh in the Maggie Dixon Classic. The Blue Devils had nine days off for final exams.

Duke played only its third home game of the season out of a total of 11.
Junior Chante Black totaled double-figure scoring for the ninth time this season as she totaled 15 points on the night. She added a career-high five steals, seven rebounds, four blocks and three steals.
With both Abby Waner and Wanisha Smith seeing action in the contest, it marked only the third time this season the duo have played in the same game (Denver, Connecticut).
Sophomore Joy Cheek registered double-figure scoring for the fifth time this season and the second game in a row. She finished the game with 15 points, six rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
Abby Waner also totaled double-figure scoring for the fourth time this season and the third time out of the last four games. She posted her second career double-double with 19 points and 10 steals. She also dished out a season-high seven assists.
Duke held a 60-24 points in the paint advantage as well as a 49-15 points off turnovers lead for the game. Junior Carrem Gay posted a season-high 20 points, which marked the third time this season has posted double-figure points. She added 10 rebounds which marked her second double-double of the season and third of her career. Her 10 field goals and 16 field goal attempts were career highs.
For only the third time this season, Duke got off to a good start to open a contest. The Blue Devils led 17-6 at the 13:57 mark.
Utah Valley's Robyn Fairbanks pulled down a Cameron Indoor Stadium record 20 rebounds. The previous record was 19 by two Blue Devils (Carey Kauffman and Chris Moreland).
Duke's opponent -- Utah Valley -- played a ranked opponent for the first time in school history.
Duke will next host Bucknell on Friday, Dec. 21 at 7:00 p.m., before heading home for four full days off before returning to campus on Dec. 26.
