Barone Named Student-Athlete Of The Week

DURHAM, N.C. ? John Barone of the Duke wrestling team has been named the Ronald McDonald House Charities Student-Athlete of the Week.
A junior from Shirley, N.Y., Barone won his fourth tournament championship of the season last weekend when he took first place in the 184-pound weight class at the Davidson Open. Barone won all three of his matches at Davidson, two by major decision and one by technical fall, to maintain a perfect record so far this season.
Ranked No. 18 in the nation, Barone previously won titles at the Wolfpack Open, the Hokie Open and the Navy Classic. He will take an 18-0 record into his next event, the Reno Tournament of Champions on Dec. 18.
