Sophomore Peter Terrezza will line up at 125 pounds for the Blue Devils after taking fifth place at the Hokie Open. He registered four wins by decision and one major decision.
Competing at 141 pounds will be junior Mike Bell, sophomore Chris Mullen and senior Chris Thumen. Bell opened the season with a 3-2 record at the Hokie Open, while Mullen went 1-2. This will be Thumen's first action of the year.
Freshman Dak Adamson also will see his first action as a Blue Devil this weekend in the 149-pound division. Rookie Brent Jorge will join him in the classification after taking home top honors at the Citadel Open last weekend.
Sophomore Dan Adamo will hold down the 157-pound class, while senior Voris Tejada and junior Jared Sernoffsky will compete at 174 pounds. Tejada is coming off of a third-place showing at the Hokie Open, which included a 38 second pin by Tejada in the third-place match. Sernoffsky went 1-2 on his opening weekend.
Coming off of a first-place showing at the Citadel Open, freshman Diego Bencomo will look to continue his winning ways at 184 pounds. Senior John Barone will wrestle up one weight class at 197 pounds to start to the 2009-10 season.
Rounding out the lineup at heavyweight is seniors Konrad Dudziak and freshman Andrew Fulk. Ranked second in the nation, Dudziak went unbeaten at the Hokie Open to take home the title, while Fulk posted a 6-1 mark at The Citadel Open for third place overall.
Duke will compete in a pair of events next weekend with the team being split up between the N.C. State Open on Nov. 21 and the Keystone Classic on Nov. 22.
