No. 6-ranked Duke had its 2008-09 season come to an end in a 77-54 loss to No. 11 Villanova on Thursday, March 26, 2009, in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston, Mass. The Blue Devils end the season with a 30-7 record.

The only previous team with four players over 1,000 career points was in 1985-86 with Johnny Dawkins, Mark Alarie, David Henderson and Jay Bilas. The four current players who have scored at least 1,000 points in their career are Jon Scheyer (32nd, 1,349), Gerald Henderson 39th (1,262), Greg Paulus (41st, 1,193) and Kyle Singler (53rd, 1,060).

Offensive Notes
? Duke scored under 60 points for just the second time this season, shooting a season-low .267 (16-of-60) from the field in the game.

Defensive Notes
