DURHAM, N.C. - Konrad Dudziak will be competing in the 2010 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships in Omaha, Neb. First-round action begins tomorrow morning at the Quest Center in downtown Omaha.
Dudziak earned the No. 4 seed and will be facing Odie Delaney from The Citadel in the first round tomorrow. Dudziak wrestled Delaney earlier this season and won the matchup by a 10-3 decision. Delaney was 29-11 on the year.
The second round will be held on Thursday night, which will be followed by the quarterfinals on Friday morning. The semifinals will begin Friday night and the finals are scheduled for Saturday night.
A senior from Bayonne, N.J., Dudziak is 14-0 on the season with two wins against ranked opponents. This will be the second year that Dudziak has qualified for the NCAA Championship. Just a year ago, Dudziak made it to the finals of the NCAA Wrestling Championships to become Duke's first wrestler to earn All-America honors.
The 2010 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships will be televised by ESPNU starting at Friday from 10:30-1:30 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. Coverage on Saturday will begin at 11 a.m. on ESPNU. The finals will be broadcast live on ESPN on Saturday night.
