Duke In The ACC
A member of the ACC in wrestling since 1956, Duke's highest finish in the ACC Tournament was third place five times and most recently in 2004 ... Twenty-one different Duke wrestlers have won 29 ACC titles overall ... Joel Puleo is the Blue Devils' lone competitor to win three consecutive championships, bringing home top honors at heavyweight in 1973, 1974 and 1975 ... Lanham is the 12th head coach of the program and previously served as a Blue Devils assistant coach for two seasons ... A two-time All-American at Tennessee and Oklahoma State, Lanham helped mentor a pair of Blue Devils to the NCAA Championship in his two seasons as an assistant and guided Duke to nine wins in his inuagural season at the helm ...
