DURHAM, N.C. – Four members of the Duke women's tennis team are set to compete in the 2013 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships beginning on Tuesday at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
Duke will feature junior
Ester Goldfeld and sophomore
Beatrice Capra in the qualifying singles stage on Tuesday, while senior
Hanna Mar will see action in the main draw that starts on Thursday, Oct. 3.
Goldfeld, who is ranked 42nd nationally, will face 89th-ranked Allison Falkin of Illinois on Tuesday at 1:45 p.m. (EST). Seeing action in her first match of 2013, 27th-ranked Capra will take on 68th-ranked Alejandra Granillo of Pepperdine at 1:45 p.m. A product of Ellicott City, Md., Capra is seeded fifth overall in qualifying singles.
The Duke duo of Goldfeld and
Annie Mulholland, who are ranked 31st nationally, will face California's 25th-ranked tandem of Zsofi Susanyi and Klara Fabikova on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m., in qualifying doubles.
