Wrestling Blue - White Matches Set for Saturday

DURHAM, N.C.—Just over a week away from officially opening the 2014-15 wrestling season, Duke's wrestling squad will have a final warm-up in the Blue vs. White meet Saturday at Card Gymnasium. The first match starts at 1 p.m. Admission is free.
The Blue Devils return four NCAA qualifiers, including All-American Conner Hartmann, back to the team this season. Immanuel Kerr-Brown and Hartmann are both ranked among the top 20 nationally heading into the early part of the season. Hartmann is taking this semester off and will return to the Duke lineup at the Grapple at the Garden Dec. 21.
Duke lost just one senior to graduation a year ago and returns veteran upperclassmen at 141, 149, 157 and 197. In addition to the returning group, head coach Glen Lanham is excited about the collection of nine freshmen who joined the program this fall. The group includes countless state championship place-winners and a host of state champions and All-Americans hailing from seven different states.
