DURHAM, N.C. – The NSCAA recognized Duke women's soccer along with a total of 582 women's collegiate soccer teams Monday as recipients of the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2013-14 academic year. The Blue Devils were one of 188 schools that had both their men's and women's teams recognized.
As a team, Duke collected a 3.41 grade-point average for the 2013-14 academic year, which included seven members on the All-ACC Academic Team.
The Blue Devils registered a 9-9-6 record in 2013 as Duke advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight under the direction of head coach
Robbie Church. It marked the fourth time out of the last six years Duke reached the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.
