DURHAM, N.C. - Blue Devils past and present had a chance to come together in October during the Duke women's lacrosse 20th anniversary celebration. Following a scrimmage between the current and alumnae squads, members of the current team caught up with former Blue Devils to talk about their time on campus and as a part of the Duke program.
Junior defender Maura Schwitter caught up with 2006 graduate Megan Huether, who was the IWLCA/US Lacrosse Goalie of the Year as a junior. Duke's all-time leader in career saves (646), goalkeeper wins (60) and goalie minutes (4505:00), Huether was also a first team All-America selection. She went on to win a pair of World Cup titles with the U.S. national team before joining the coaching ranks.
The Duke program continues its 20-year anniversary celebration this weekend in Durham, hosting Alumnae Recognition at Koskinen Stadium Saturday when the Blue Devils take on Virginia at 3:30 p.m. For ticket information, visit goduke.com/tickets.
