DURHAM, N.C. – The field for the 2019 ACC Tournament is set as the Duke women's soccer team has earned the sixth seed in the eight-team field. The Blue Devils will travel to Charlottesville, Va., to face third-seeded Virginia on Sunday, Nov. 3.
The top 10 showdown between the No. 9 Blue Devils and top-ranked Cavaliers is set for a 5 p.m. kickoff at the Klöckner Stadium, with action airing live on the ACC Network, marking Duke's seventh game on national television.
Last Time Out
The Blue Devils fell to fifth-ranked Florida State on the road in their most recent matchup to conclude the 2019 regular season. The Seminoles used a late goal in the 79th minute to take a 1-0 lead, which proved to be the game's deciding goal. The loss ended Duke's 14-game unbeaten streak, which previously served as the second-longest in the ACC entering the week. With the result, the Blue Devils earned the sixth seed in this weekend's upcoming ACC Tournament.
Duke vs. Virginia
Sunday's matchup between Duke and Virginia marks the 43rd all-time matchup between the two Coastal Division foes, and second installment of this season. Virginia holds the all-time series advantage over Duke, 18-16-8. The Blue Devils are 6-9-4 across matchups in Charlottesville, and have dropped three of their last six matchups on the road against the Cavaliers. Most recently, Duke battled to a scoreless double-overtime draw against the Cavaliers earlier this season, holding Virginia scoreless for the first time this season. Head coach

Duke in the ACC Tournament
Duke enters the ACC Tournament for the fourth season in a row and 30th time across the last 32 seasons. The Blue Devils own an all-time record of 14-28-3 across their matchups in the tournament, and have advanced to the championship game five times (1992-94, 2000, 2017). Most recently, Duke earned the second seed a season ago, falling to Florida State at home, 1-0, in the 2018 quarterfinals.

The Blue Devils had a TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week honoree for seven weeks this season, including a span of of six weeks straight receiving an honor. Most recently, sophomore
Marykate McGuire was named to the Team of the Week for her performances last week against Notre Dame and Syracuse, receiving honorable mention recognition. Redshirt junior
Brooke Heinsohn was named to the Team of the Week as the team's goalkeeper for her performances against No. 3 North Carolina and No. 9 Clemson, after being selected as an honorable mention three weeks ago. McGuire and Heinsohn join the trio of seniors

Mackenzie Pluck in players who have received Team of the Week honors in 2019. Pluck has received the recognition twice this season, while Gyau and Stevens have each earned the honor once.
Drawing NCAA & School Records
The Blue Devils have earned double-overtime draws in five of their last eight matchups, pushing their draw total to seven on the season to tie the school record. Duke battled to a scoreless draw with then-No. 13 Georgetown in its home opener before recording a 1-1 tie in the ACC opener against NC State in double overtime. Prior to the team's matchup with Clemson, the Blue Devils battled to three consecutive draws against top-ranked Virginia and then-No. 23 Virginia Tech on the road, before reaching a scorless draw against third-ranked North Carolina. Duke battled to back-to-back draws against both Louisville and Notre Dame before defeating Syracuse in its most recent matchup. The Blue Devils are also one scoreless draw away from tying the NCAA record for most scoreless draws in a season.
Duke in the Polls
Duke checked in at No. 9 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll this week as one of five ACC teams in the top 15, and one of six schools ranked in the top 25. Additionally, the Blue Devils are ranked 10
th in the Soccer America Top 25, and 11th in the
TopDrawerSoccer rankings. Duke is ranked for the 56th straight week in the United Soccer Coaches Poll, dating back to the ninth week of the 2015 season, when the Blue Devils were ranked No. 22.
