DURHAM – Duke wrestling fell 35-4 to Central Michigan on Thursday night in its home-opening dual in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior Jonah Niesenbaum earned the Blue Devils' lone points after securing a 11-3 major decision win over Bryan Caves. The Allentown, Pa., native scored takedowns at the end of all three periods to help his cause.
- Redshirt junior Patrick Rowland and redshirt senior Brayden Ray each put up tough battles against their Chippewas opponents but fell just short. Rowland dropped a 6-5 decision while Ray fell 3-1 in sudden victory.
- Redshirt senior Gabe Dinette made his season debut for the Blue Devils but fell in a 10-2 major decision to Tracy Hubbard.

The Blue Devils are back in Cameron Indoor Stadium on Friday, hosting North Carolina in a 7 p.m. matchup.
