GREENSBORO, N.C. – Duke swimming and diving concluded its final day of competition at the Mid-Season Invitational hosted at the Greensboro Aquatics Center on Saturday.
NOTABLES
On Friday evening, Margo O'Mearacollected her second victory of the weekend, posting a score of 326.10 in the one-meter event.
Freshman Keira Lutallied a score of 290.00 in the one-meter event, finishing behind O'Meara for second.
On Saturday, Charles Bermancollected a third-place finish in the platform dive. He posted a score of 316.80, moving into eighth all-time in the performance list.
O'Meara returned to the platform event for the first time in two years on Saturday, tallying a third-place finish with a score of 250.30. Her finish on the podium rounded out a successful weekend on the boards, collecting two first-place tallies and a third-place finish.
Ali Pfaffcontinued her success in the 200 Backstroke on Saturday, placing fourth with a time of 1:51.55 improving on her school record.
In the men's 200 Backstroke, Jacob Hillstouched with a time of 1:43.84, finishing eighth in the event.
In the women's 100 Freestyle, Tatum Wallimproved her previous best performance, touching second place with a time of 48.47.
Kaelyn Gridleysecured another first-place finish on Saturday, clocking a time of 2:05.71 in the 200 Breaststroke.
The duo of Kalen Anbarand Jack Smithplaced seventh and 12th respectively in the 200 Breaststroke. Anbar touched with a time of 1:57.38 and Smith clocked a time of 1:58.17.
The Blue Devils collected the top two spots in the 200 Butterfly, as Kyra Sommerstadfinished first with a time of 1:57.17 and Martina Peronifinished second with a time of 1:57.38.
Yugo Tsukikawaposted a 12th place finish in the 200 Butterfly for the men, clocking a time of 1:46.90, while Samir Elkassemfinished in 14th with a time of 1:48.99.
Duke's A-Relay team in the 400 Freestyle, consisting of Tatum Wall, KyAnh Truong, Yixuan Chang, and Ali Pfaff, touched in fourth with a time of 3:17.22 to conclude the three-day meet.

The Blue Devils now prepare for the U.S. Open held at the Greensboro Aquatics Center. The event runs from Thursday, Dec. 5-8 with prelims beginning at 9 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.
