CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Duke swimming and diving showed solid performances and fast swims, as they fell to North Carolina 211.5-80.5 on the men's side and 178-114 on the women's side.
NOTABLES
To begin the afternoon in Koury Natatorium, the Blue Devils 200 Medley Relay team of Ali Pfaff, Kaelyn Gridley, KyAnh Truong, and Tatum Wall touched a first-place finish, clocking a time of 1:35.11.
In the 1000 Men's Freestyle, Yugo Tsukikawatouched in fourth at 9:32.88.
The Blue Devils scored in the 200 Freestyle, as Yixuan Changtouched in fourth at 1:49.7.
In the 100 Backstroke, Pfaff secured a second-place finish with a time of 52.51.
To open up the 100 Breaststroke, Gridley finished first with a time of 58.14, while Ava Ippoliti clocked a time of 1:04.89.
On the men's side of the 100 Breaststroke, Jack Smithwas able to finish in third with a time of 54.93, while Kalen Anbartouched in fourth with a time of 55.07.
In the 200 Butterfly, Martina Peronicontinued her success this season touching in third with a time of 1:57.28, while Kyra Sommerstadtouched in fourth with a time of 1:58.48.
Tatum Walltouched opened the 50 Freestyle with a first-place finish clocking a time of 22.15, while KyAnh Truongtouched in second with a time of 22.48.
In the one-meter diving event, Margo O'Mearatallied a score of 309.60 to finish third, while Keira Lufinished fourth with a score of 273.45.
The Blue Devils took first and third place in the three-meter dive, as Charlie Berman collected a score of 353.55, while Yannis Schattmantallied a score of 309.53.
Wall continued her streak in the pool on Friday, touching in second of the 100 Freestyle with a time of 48.67.
Molly Donlantouched in the 200 Backstroke with a third-place finish, clocking a time of 1:57.18, while Ali Pfafftouched with a time of 1:57.37.
Gridley once again dominated in the 200 Breaststroke, touching in first by nearly four full seconds, posting a time of 2:08.75.
Donlan added another podium finish in the 100 Butterfly, clocking a time of 54.39.
Duke swept the top two podium spots in the 200 IM, as Kyra Sommerstadand Kaelyn Gridleyfinished in succession. Sommerstad touched with a time of 2:02.58, while Gridley tallied a time of 2:08.52.
Kalen Anbarand Michael Jiangfollowed up the women's performance in the 200 IM, touching with a first and second-place finish. Anbar tallied a time of 1:50.70, while Jiang touched with a time of 1:51.46.
In the 400 Freestyle Relay, Duke was able to secure the top two finishes as the team of Wall, Pfaff, Troung, and Chang, touched with a time of 3:12.90.
On the men's side, they matched the women in the 400 Freestyle Relay, as the Blue Devils' team of Milo Shue, Charlie Morici, Colin Mikulecky, and Blake Johnson touched with a time of 3:00.47.

The Blue Devils return to the pool in Atlanta, traveling to compete against Georgia Tech in a two-day meet. Friday's competition begins at 3 p.m., while Saturday begins at 11 a.m.
