DURHAM – The Duke wrestling team (4-12, 0-4 ACC) will hit the mat against North Carolina (10-7, 2-2 ACC) for its last dual match of the regular season on Friday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m., in Carmichael Arena.

A CLOSER LOOK AT THE SERIES
• Duke and North Carolina will face each other for the 99th time with the Tar Heels holding a 73-25 advantage in the series.

• The most recent win for Duke in the series came in 2016, with a 21-17 victory in Chapel Hill.

NOTEABLES
• Head coaches Glen Lanham (Duke) and Rob Koll (North Carolina) are both 1987 All-Americans. Lanham at Oklahoma State and Koll at North Carolina.

• Lanham and Duke assistant coaches Ethan Ramos and Corey Bell have a connection to the North Carolina wrestling program. Lanham worked closely with the middle to upper weight classes as an assistant coach from 2003-07.

• Ramos (2013-18) compiled a 106-39 record over his five years as a Tar Heel, reaching the NCAA Championships on four occasions.

• Bell (1996-01) was a four-time ACC Champion and NCAA qualifier for the Tar Heels during his collegiate wrestling career.

• Connor Barket notched his second ACC win of the season in come-from-behind fashion against NC State's Chase Horne. Down 3-0 at the end of the first period, Barket came away with a takedown in the second frame and forced a fall over Horne to close the dual match. The win marks Barket's team-leading 15th victory of the season.

• Graduate student Jarred Papcsy captured his first ACC win as a Blue Devil against NC State's Koy Buesgens. This marked Papcsy's first encounter with the Wolfpack since joining the Blue Devils' program in the 2022-23 season, after graduating from NCSU. The victory was his fifth win of the year.
