Ethan Ramos and Corey Bell have a connection to the North Carolina wrestling program. Lanham worked closely with the middle to upper weight classes as an assistant coach from 2003-07.
• Ramos (2013-18) compiled a 106-39 record over his five years as a Tar Heel, reaching the NCAA Championship on four occasions.
• Bell (1996-01) was a four-time ACC Champion and NCAA qualifier for the Tar Heels during his collegiate wrestling career.

Aidan Wallace owns 21 victories. The last time the Blue Devils featured two 20-win wrestlers was in 2021-22 with Matt (29) and Josh (28) Finesilver.Â

Logan Ferrero collected his fourth victory of the season and his first fall with the win against Gardner-Webb's Dominic DiTullo with 1:39 remaining in the second period. It was his seventh career dual match victory.

Connor Barket is currently ranked No. 30 by Intermat, No. 24 by WrestleStat and No. 30 by FloWrestling. Duke's
Aidan Wallace is also ranked No. 33 by WrestleStat, No. 29 by Intermat and No. 32 by FloWrestling. Wallace owns a team-high two wins against ranked opponents, which both came at the Southern Scuffle.Â

Connor Barket featured a 13-match winning streak, which ended during the Southern Scuffle. It marked the longest streak of his short collegiate career. The streak was the longest since the 2022-23 season when Jonah Niesenbaum totaled a 15-match streak. Barket owns a 20-5 overall record and totaled a single-season best 10th dual match win against Gardner-Webb.Â

Connor Barket now owns back-to-back podium placements at the event as he placed seventh in 2024.Â

Riley Rowan picked up his first collegiate victory as he totaled a 10-4 decision against Cody Tanner. Rowan comes from a family of wrestlers as his father, David, wrestled at Edinboro and his brother, Kyle, wrestled at Stanford. Â
• After dealing with a knee injury for the first month, redshirt sophomore
Gaetano Console picked up his first dual match win of the season with a 14-4 major decision victory against Marc Koch of Davidson. Console then posted a 10-6 decision against Andrew Wilson of Gardner-Webb. He now owns 12 dual match wins over his career.

LAST TIME OUT
• Duke had its three-match home winning streak snapped on Tuesday afternoon inside Card Gymnasium as the Blue Devils dropped in a 23-19 decision to Gardner-Webb.
• After dropping the first four bouts to open the match, Duke won three straight contests to cut into the Runnin' Bulldogs lead, 15-14. Gardner-Webb secured wins at 184 and 197 to stretch its lead, before the Blue Devils won the heavyweight contest to conclude the match.

Logan Ferrero started the comeback for the Blue Devils at 157 pounds as he registered an escape and then pinned Dominic DiTullo with 1:39 remaining in the second period to secure six points.

Aidan Wallace continued his stellar wrestling with a 19-3 tech fall against Tyler Brignola to cut the deficit to 15-11. Wallace opened the first period with a 12-0 advantage and then after a scoreless second closed things out in the third period with a takedown, reversal, nearfall and a point for riding time.

Gaetano Console continued the winning ways for the Blue Devils with a 10-6 decision against Andrew Wilson at 174 pounds. Console controlled the action over the first two periods leading 7-1. Wilson closed with an escape, stalling point and takedown to cut into the Console's lead in the third.
• Duke trailed 15-14 with three bouts remaining, but the Runnin' Bulldogs posted wins at 184 and 197 to go ahead, 23-14.
• At heavyweight, 30th-ranked
Connor Barket was impressive against Rocky Files totaling a 21-4 tech fall to close the contest. Barket led 3-0 early and then built on that lead with four takedowns in the second period. He added another in the third and closed the contest with his 20th victory of the season.
