• Duke and Appalachian State will face each other for the 28th time in program history with the Mountaineers leading the series, 18-8. Overall, Duke has dropped five straight matches in the series. In matches played in Boone, N.C., the Blue Devils are 2-9.Â

Logan Ferrero collected his fourth victory of the season and his first fall with the win against Gardner-Webb's Dominic DiTullo with 1:39 remaining in the second period. It was his seventh career dual match victory.

Connor Barket featured a 13-match winning streak, which ended during the Southern Scuffle. It marked the longest streak of his short collegiate career. The streak was the longest since the 2022-23 season when Jonah Niesenbaum totaled a 15-match streak. Barket owns a 21-5 overall record and totaled a single-season best 11th dual match win against North Carolina.Â

Riley Rowan picked up his first collegiate victory as he totaled a 10-4 decision against Cody Tanner. Rowan comes from a family of wrestlers as his father, David, wrestled at Edinboro and his brother, Kyle, wrestled at Stanford. Â
• After dealing with a knee injury for the first month, redshirt sophomore
Gaetano Console picked up his first dual match win of the season with a 14-4 major decision victory against Marc Koch of Davidson. Console then posted a 10-6 decision against Andrew Wilson of Gardner-Webb. He now owns 12 dual match wins over his career.

LAST TIME OUT
• Duke redshirt sophomore
Connor Barket collected his tied for team-best 21st victory of the season on Friday, but the Blue Devil wrestling team dropped a 40-3 decision to North Carolina inside Cameron Indoor Stadium.
• In the heavyweight match, Barket faced Nolan Neves. Neves took the lead early with a takedown 19 seconds into the contest. Barket, who is from West Lafayette, Ind., registered an escape and then a takedown of his own to move ahead, 4-3, going into the second period. Trailing 5-3, Neves registered another takedown to regain the lead, 6-5.Barket responded with an escape and takedown to go ahead 9-6 heading into the final period. Duke added a riding time point to close the match with a 10-6 decision for Barket.
• Fellow captain
Raymond Adams had a tight match with Ethan Oakley of the Tar Heels at 133 pounds. Adams, a native of Merrick, N.Y., and Oakley were knotted, 0-0, through the first two periods. Oakley added an escape and riding time point in the third period to win a 2-0 decision.
