CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Duke senior swimmer
Amaya Hanley was named the grand prize winner of the 2024 Go Teach Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway on Wednesday evening, as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Hanley, a native of Davidson, North Carolina, was named one of 16 student-athletes to receive a $2,500 grant to assist in their continued pursuit of a degree or career in education, with Hanley earning an additional $10,000 Grand Prize in tuition support.
The 16 finalists were chosen by campus representatives, and the Grand Prize winner was selected by the ACC's awards committee. Joining Hanley on the finalist list was Kahlil Ali (FB, Boston College), Aysia Fingall (TF, Clemson), Robert Scott (FB, Florida State), Weston Baptiste (TF, Georgia Tech), Demaria King (TF, Louisville), Maddie Scheier (TF, Miami), Willie Lampkin (FB, North Carolina), Tori Ensley (SB, NC State), Abigail Maichin (WLAX, Notre Dame), Abby Thorne (WLAX, Pitt), Layla Garcia-Morenom (WSOC, SMU), Maya D'Arcy (Hokey, Syracuse), Zoey Dood (VB, Virginia), Grace New (WLAX, Virginia Tech), and Ashlyn Giles (TF, Wake Forest).
