DURHAM, N.C. – After compiling a 41-18 overall record and earning the program's fifth-consecutive bid to the NCAA Softball Championship last season, Duke softball announced its 2026 schedule Wednesday afternoon. The schedule consists of 53 regular season games across seven states, facing 22 teams that made NCAA Tournament appearances last season, including four that advanced to the Women's College World Series (WCWS).
Duke opens the season in the Sunshine State, traveling to Orlando, Florida, Feb. 6-8 to compete in the UCF Invitational alongside Boston University, Buffalo, CSU Bakersfield and UCF.
The Blue Devils remain in Florida the following week, traveling to Clearwater, Feb. 13-15 to play five games in the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational. Duke will face Texas A&M (Feb. 13), LSU (Feb. 13), Oklahoma State (Feb. 14), Georgia (Feb. 14) and Missouri (Feb. 15) during the event.
The Blue Devils welcome Elon to Duke Softball Stadium for the home opener Feb. 17 before hitting the road again, traveling to the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic for the second straight year and third time in program history. The event will run Feb. 19-22 at the Big League Dreams Sports Park in Cathedral City, California. Duke is set to compete in five games over the four-day invitational, taking on three 2025 WCWS participants in Oklahoma, UCLA and Oregon, as well as Texas A&M and Hawaii.
Closing out the month of February, the Blue Devils host East Carolina in a single non-conference contest Feb. 24 before welcoming Boston University, Northwestern and Ohio State for the Duke Invitational Feb. 26-Mar. 1.
Duke opens ACC action on the west coast with a weekend series at Cal Mar. 6-8. Continuing their road trip, the team heads to Columbia, South Carolina, for a midweek battle with South Carolina Mar. 10. The Blue Devils close out the week at home with a three-game series against Virginia Tech Mar. 13-15.
The Blue Devils take on the UNCW Seahawks Mar. 17 in a single home game before returning to conference play with a weekend series at Georgia Tech Mar. 20-22.
Following that series, the Blue Devils open a seven-game stretch at home, welcoming Stanford (Mar. 27-29), Campbell (Mar. 31) and Virginia (Apr. 2-4). Duke then hits the road for a midweek doubleheader at Liberty (Apr. 8) and a conference series at North Carolina (Apr. 10-12).
Duke and Tennessee clash in Durham in one of the final non-conference matchups of the season Apr. 15. The Blue Devils have a quick turnaround, traveling up to Boston College (Apr. 17-19) for their final ACC road series.
The Blue Devils return to Duke Softball Stadium to close the regular season with a single game against Charlotte (Apr. 21) and hosting Clemson (Apr. 24-26) in their final conference series of the season.
Virginia will play host to the 2026 ACC Tournament at Palmer Park in Charlottesville, Virginia, May 6-9.
