SETTING THE SCENE
• In its final road ACC match of the 2024-25 campaign, the Duke wrestling Team (4-12, 0-4 ACC) will hit the road Friday, Feb. 7 as the Blue Devils travel to Charlottesville, Va., to face Virginia (4-4, 0-3 ACC) at 7 p.m., inside John Paul Jones Arena. The match will be aired live on ACC Network Extra.

DUKE FEATURES TRI-CAPTAINS IN 2024-25
• The 2024-25 Duke wrestling team features a trio of captains – sophomore Raymond Adams, redshirt sophomore Connor Barket and redshirt sophomore Gaetano Console – as announced by Blue Devil head coach Glen Lanham.
• It marks the second straight season that Barket and Console are serving as captains.

THE SERIES
• Duke and Virginia will meet for the 73rd time in series history with the Cavaliers leading the series, 63-7-2. In matches played in Charlottesville, Va., the Blue Devils are 2-34. Duke has lost 10 in a row at UVA.
• Duke head coach Glen Lanham is 1-11 against the Cavaliers since taking over at Duke.

WALLACE EARNS ACC CO-WRESTLER OF THE WEEK
• Coming off the highest-ranked win of his short collegiate career, Duke's Aidan Wallace was tabbed the ACC Co-Wrestler of the Week on Jan. 28.
• Wallace went up against 23rd-ranked Mac Church of Virginia Tech live on ACC Network on Jan. 24. After a scoreless first period, Church received two stalling warnings to give Wallace a 1-0 lead. Church was able to even the match, 1-1, with an escape with 29 seconds remaining in regulation. Wallace earned a takedown with 1:18 on the clock in the first overtime to collect the thrilling victory. Wallace's win was his first ACC win of his collegiate career.

WALLACE & BARKET MOVING UP THE CHARTS
• Redshirt freshman Aidan Wallace owns a 22-6 ledger heading into the Virginia contest. Wallace has won 15 out of his last 18 matches.
• His 22 victories currently ranks tied for third on Duke's record charts at 165 pounds. These records go back to 1999.
• Wallace missed the Gardner-Webb, Appalachian State and Pitt matches due to an illness.
