DURHAM, N.C. – No. 18 Duke rowing is set to co-host the annual Lake Wheeler Invitational with North Carolina, held on Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, N.C. Duke's Third Varsity Eight will open Friday's races at 9:30 a.m.
The Blue Devils will race five boats in 15 races throughout the two-day regatta. In the field along with Duke is Boston College, Boston University, Clemson, Columbia, Georgetown, Jacksonville, Kansas, Louisville, Miami, Navy, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Tulsa, Villanova, Virginia and Washington State.
Four other teams joined the Blue Devils in the latest CRCA Pocock top 25 poll in No. 12 Virginia, No. 20 Columbia and No. 24 North Carolina.
